Experience the Jabitj Trail: A Journey Through Nature’s Serenity
Join us on the Jabitj Trail, which means “running water” in Noongar, and experience a refreshing escape into nature. As part of our “Spring into Hiking” series, this trail offers a perfect way to embrace the vibrant energy of the season. Wander along the Collie River between Wellington Dam and Honeymoon Pool and enjoy stunning wildflowers, magnificent granite outcrops, vibrant rapids, and serene pools.
Enhance your adventure with insights from Alison, our local flora expert from Forest Explorers. With over 35 years of experience, Alison will guide you in identifying and learning about the diverse wildflowers along the trail. Her deep passion for nature and commitment to preserving Western Australia’s unique biodiversity make her the perfect guide for this journey.
Along the way, marvel at the award-winning “Reflections” mural on the Wellington Dam wall, created by renowned artist Guido Van Helten. This world’s largest dam mural beautifully reflects the surrounding landscape.
This “Spring into Hiking” series is made possible by the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries’ Hiking Participation program, the Shire of Collie, and Adventure Connections.
Embrace the great outdoors, connect with fellow adventurers, and discover the joy of nature. Sign up today and let’s spring into hiking together!
