Wow another fantastic webinar. If you haven't seen or heard about Dr Gregory P Smith, you must hear his story. Its something you just wouldn't believe. Anyone can do anything, they just have to want too. #natureistherapy #mentalhealth Outdoor Healthcare Australian Association for Bush Adventure Therapy Inc. (AABAT) Western Australian Association for Mental HealthThe ‘Nature & Health’ Online Symposium reaches half-way tomorrow, and we hope you’ve enjoyed the ride so far!
This week we experience the ancient Aboriginal practice of Dadirri by Caroline (Carlie) Atkinson, shared with the permission of Aunty Miriam-Rose Ungumerr-Bauman. Carlie is CEO of We Al-li Programs a family organisation supporting the delivery of culturally responsive trauma training to Aboriginal organisations and communities across Australia.
We also hear a personal tale of struggle and survival by Dr Gregory P. Smith, a forgotten Australian who was left in an orphanage at a young age, and as an adult ‘found’ himself by spending time in the heart of the forest.
This week’s theme recognises that safe nature-based health practices are culturally appropriate and trauma-informed, with both presenters bringing enlightening perspectives. If you’re interested in this topic, you won’t want to miss these experiences, tales and insights from Carlie and Gregory.

Great job by Educated by Nature. We don’t all need to get physical to improve our mental health. Try this simple sit spot technique in nature and see how it works for you. 🍃#natureistherapy #bringontheadventureswa ...
