Our Current Situation

Today our youth are growing up in a world which is becoming more disconnected from each other everyday. Our youth are spending most of their free time attached to devices such as I Pads and Iphones. These are portable and easy access. Most even have to use devices in schools everyday. So how much screen time is a problem? What is it doing to your child/teenagers health and wellbeing?

  • Did you know that the Apps and Programs on these devices are designed to be addictive?
  • How does your teenager or child respond when you try to take them away or get them to turn it off? Do you get tantrums and angry outbursts?
  • Is your child struggling with depression and anxiety?
  • have they become withdrawn and don't socialise as much?

Chances are highly likely that they have developed a technology addiction.

What can you do about this? Well, what would you do if they were addicted to taking drugs? or drinking alcohol?

I have attached a great podcast called "How the iPhone rewrote the teenage brain". Have a listen.
